Additional Readme Information for Release 2.001 =============================================== Since the product shipped, the original publishers (AEA) have gone away. The product has reverted to the program's author (Michael Crick). Support is now provided by email at mica@crick.com. Meanwhile look for the retail version of Ham University being published by Timewave Technology Inc. of St Paul, MN. This is the same code as Ham University but retail distribution and support are provided by Timewave at sales@timewave.com. 1) Upgrading from Earlier Versions If you had previously purchased Ham University 2.000 and would like to enjoy the latest version (which includes Windows2000 support) you may do so without upsetting the copy protection provided you follow the correct procedure. It is IMPORTANT that you do NOT erase your old, purchased copy, before you install the new copy. You must install the new copy over the old copy into the same directory. Owners of versions 1.20 and earlier can upgrade to 2.001 for a reduced price. (See http://crick.com/hamu). 2) Operating in PC's with support for only 16-colors video cards Not supported in version 2.001 (use 1.20) 3) Operating under Windows NT or Windows 2000 If the install doesn't work give the install program write-access to the Windows directory. 4) Operating with Windows 3.x Not supported in version 2.001 (use 1.20) Michael Crick -- March 4, 2000
